- Noise Diagnosis -Perform minor disassembly where applicable, rack vehicle where applicable, and advise on the customer's noise concern. *Further diagnosis may be needed for some concerns
- We confirmed the customer's concern. We removed the primary belt and the noise was still present. We removed the fan belt and found the noise went away. We inspected the pulleys and tensioner. We found the fan belt tensioner is faulty and will need to be replaced. We recommend replacing the belts along with the tensioner.
- WATER PUMP DRIVE BELT TENSIONER – Remove & Replace – Diesel Auxiliary – [Includes: Drain and refill Cooling System. Includes: R&I Air Cleaner.] – [Includes: Replace Belt (if necessary).]
- Replace primary belt tensioner and belt. Replace water pump belt tensioner and belt. Road test.
- At 60,000 miles it is recommended to replace the transmission filters and transmission fluid for maintenance. The fuel filter is recommended to be replaced every 30,000 miles for maintenance. We recommend performing a fuel injection service and induction service every 30,000 miles for maintenance. The manufacturer recommends performing a full maintenance inspection of the vehicle every 15,000 miles. The transfer case fluid is recommended to be replaced every 45,000 miles for maintenance.
